Troubling Times for the Nation

  • Date September 2, 2020

The ASA School community joins communities across the country who mourn the persecution of people based on race, ethnicity and creed through acts of violence. The students are taught through the ASA Mission and Belief Statements that “Each person is a unique child of God.”  The school teaches and encourages the students to respect everyone, regardless of their ability, background and beliefs.  ASA also teaches the students to use appropriate conflict resolution, when they are faced with any disagreement.

It is impossible to make sense of senseless violence. The media provides over-exposure about  the civil unrest and looting, as well as continuous showings of the video of George Floyd’s death. These images and events can be disturbing for both adults and children.

ASA encourages you offer your prayers to those who lost their lives, and those who are suffering, so that we can lift up the families, because of recent incidents.
